ROCKFORD — A 12-week training program designed to prepare walkers and runners of all levels for a spring half-marathon race is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Runner’s Image, 219 E. State St.
The program will include weekly coach-supported outdoor workout runs at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays and 7 a.m. Saturdays for the first six weeks of the program. The Saturday workouts will switch to 6:30 a.m. for the last six weeks of the program.
The Wednesday sessions will include a clinic on running topics every three weeks.
The cost of the program is $95 to include a hooded sweat shirt, a training log book to help track progress, and refreshments at the end of each training run. There is a $10 discount for anyone who has participated in the program before.
