ROCKFORD — General surgeon Dr. William J. Cowden and plastic surgeon Dr. Landon S. Pryor have joined the staff at Affiliated Surgeons of Rockford.
Cowden earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Michigan State University, serving as chief surgical resident his final year.
Cowden treats problems of the breast, thyroid, gall bladder and appendix as well as lesions, hernias and colon cancer. He sees patients in office Wednesdays and Fridays at 2300 N. Rockton Ave., Suite 304. He has surgical privileges at all three Rockford hospitals.
Pryor earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. He completed an accelerated general surgery/plastic surgery residency with Akron General Medical Center and Summa Health System/Northeastern Universities College of Medicine, Akron, Ohio.
He continued training with a pediatric/craniofacial fellowship at the University of California San Diego and Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego. He completed an additional one-year fellowship in cosmetic surgery of the face and body at the Cleveland Clinic.
Pryor treats skin cancer, facial trauma and wounds and does pediatric plastic surgery and burn and breast reconstruction. He will see patients at the group’s Perryville Suite, 3401 N. Perryville Road., for the full spectrum of cosmetic procedures, including face-lift, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction.
